Physics majors Laura Covington and Ryan Stansell published a paper with Dr. Moore in the journal Physica Status Solidi a titled "Affect of film thickness on the blue photoluminescence from ZnO." DOI:10.1002/pssa.201127613
Dr Rubbo has been selected as Wiley Science Advisor.

Sophomore physics major Kevin Kern has been awarded a NASA Ambassadors Award.
Sherri Tomlinson, Chemistry major, recieved the ASC chemistry award April 2010.
Biochemistry degree is now being offered through the Chemistry and Physics department.

Erin Kelly and Sherri Tomlinson both presented their research at the South Carolina Academy of Science April 2010. Both students did research into isolating bacteriophages that can be used to fight dieases and bacterial contamination in runoff water.
